Yes, it's that time again. It's time for me to update you all on where my business is and where it's heading!
For the last year, my business has pretty much been on hold as I began shooting weddings as a second shooter. This filled up my calendar, so I apologize to those who tried to get a session booked but I couldn't find any availability that would work for you. This year, I'm getting back to my own stuff as well as continuing to shoot weddings. I've begun booking my own weddings again and I've already shot seven weddings as a second shooter this year! I'm now a lead and second shooter for Your Story Photo + Cinema and I'm continuing my partnership with Michael Henson shooting second for him. He's my second shooter as well, so if you book me, you'll get to know him too!
You'll notice that I've added a new type of session to the photography I offer and it has quickly become my favorite type of session. I'm now offering Studio sessions for those of you who'd like that fashion type look that pops! For me, they are a ton of fun and I hope to book many more of them moving forward. Those that have done a studio session have all left them very happy and love the images we got. Take a look at the Studio page for more photos and check out my pricing for details on what these sessions entail.
Since I'm offering studio sessions, my regular portrait session has become a Lifestyle session. A lifestyle session offers the flexibility to shoot pretty much anywhere and really focus on capture the interactions and relationships of those in the photos. These can be done at your house, at a park, or pretty much anywhere you choose (where photos are allowed) and will feature less posing and more natural interaction. We'll still do some of the traditional poses, but the goal here is to have a relaxed portrait session that everybody can enjoy even if you don't like posing for a photo.
I'm also going to make it a goal to blog every session or wedding in 2018 and post more frequently to Instagram and Facebook. Make sure you're following me over there and checking here periodically for new blog posts!
Take a look at some of the work I've done this year and share this post with your friends and family!
