Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a session?

Send me an email through the contact form and we can get the ball rolling! Once the details have been worked out, you’ll receive and email with a contract and invoice. A non-refundable retainer of $100 is due at the time of booking to reserve your date. Your session is considered booked once I receive your paid, non-refundable retainer and a signed contract.

When do I make the final payment?

Payment is due the day before your session and can be paid via the same invoice you used to pay your retainer.

What should my family wear?

This is a great question that can greatly impact your photo session! It's best to wear muted, complementary colors (not matching) with only minor patterns and no graphics or branding. If you'd like to see a guide, please send me an email.

Why do I have to sign a contract and release?

Contracts and releases are an industry standard as a way to protect both client and photographer. A release allows me to use your photo for social media and marketing. I do not sell your photos.

What if I need to reschedule?

If you need to reschedule your session, please let me know at least 14 days before your session. We can reschedule without forfeiting your retainer if I know at least 14 days prior to your scheduled session.

Canceling a session at anytime forfeits your paid retainer.

What happens if it rains?

If it rains the day of your shoot or the ground is too wet from the previous day, we will reschedule. This will be done at the photographer's discretion.

How do I get my photos?

Within a week of your session, you'll receive a link to a proofing gallery. From there, you can select which images get a full edit for final delivery.

Once the full edit is complete, you'll receive a link to your delivered gallery. From there, you can order prints or download your images.

How do I order prints?

The quickest and easiest way to get prints is by ordering them directly from your gallery. I keep my pricing low to make sure you get great, affordable products. If you choose to order prints from elsewhere, please use a dedicated photo printer. They have equipment that is calibrated to give you an accurate representation of my work and a high-quality product.

Is it okay to share my gallery or photos?

Of course! I would be disappointed if you didn't love your photos enough to share them! I appreciate when you share your photos and tag me in your posts. When your sneak peek is posted to my blog, I always share it on Facebook. Sharing that post helps me out more than you know.

Please do not do any edits to your photos before posting. If there's something you'd like changed, please let me know. My brand and style are reflected in images that get shared.

What type of editing do you do?

All of my photos go through two rounds of edits. For proofing galleries, basic lighting, color, and crop adjustments are made. Once you've selected which photos you'd like, I do a full edit on the photos that will be delivered.

For lifestyle sessions, I will edit the photos to match my style while also removing things like blemishes and distractions. Please be mindful of the location you choose. While I do my best to edit out distractions, if you choose a high traffic area, there might be people and / or vehicles that will not be removed.

For editorial sessions, I do the same type of edits as my lifestyle sessions but I take it a bit further to give it a high-end finish.

I make it a goal to be a body positive photographer. As such, I only edit out that which is temporary and I do not edit the appearance of bodies.
